mcStudio is the Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for mcScript. It includes features for authoring, modifying, compiling, refactoring, deploying and debugging of the software. This application also provides the interface to wirelessly debug and load programming into mcThings hardware.
mcStudio is the Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for mcScript which is the programming language that’s used to program your mcThings devices. mcStudio includes features for authoring, modifying, compiling, refactoring, deploying, and debugging your IoT solution created using mcScript. This application also provides the interface to wirelessly debug and load scripts onto your devices – telling them what data to collect, and how to both collect and send it.
mcScript is an Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) language that’s been developed specifically for the mcThings platform to program low-power applications for the mcThings devices. mcScript is a subset of VB.NET meaning that anyone with a basic knowledge of programming using an OOP language is ready to jump into mcScript and begin creating custom IoT solutions. Often complex tracking and monitoring solutions can be written using a minimal amount of code using mcScript. Save your scripts and load them on multiple mcThings devices within seconds for rapid deployment of new hardware.
Please note that in order to begin creating your IoT applications using mcStudio and deploying them on devices, you must have the complete mcThings platform in place which consists of the following:
- mcGateway (Hardware)
- mcModules/mcDevices (Hardware)
- mcStudio Cloud Version (Free Application)
